The Diablo 4 Campaign postgame, explained
So, youāve just saved Sanctuary from the clutches of Lilith and changed the fate of the world forever. First, thatās a lot! Second, congratulations! Beating every act of the Diablo 4 campaign is no small feat. That said, you have plenty of content ahead of you if youāre up to the challenge.
While I wouldnāt stay Diablo 4 starts at endgame, it certainly does unlock several features to keep you slaying demons for hours to come. Most of these involve the continued strengthening of your character(s), which youāll need to overcome some particularly nasty obstacles. Hereās the rundown.
Unlock Whispers
Upon beating the campaign, youāll have a Priority Quest in your queue that involves returning to the Tree of Whispers. Once there, youāll receive a quest that involves clearing āWhispersā to collect 10 Grim Favors. Youāll achieve this by slaying monsters, running dungeons, and clearing events in Caldeum. Just follow the markers on your map and do what interests you.
After you collect the favors, return to the Tree of Whispers. Youāll get to pick a box full of loot for your troubles, and you will mark the quest as complete. This will unlock Whispers all around the world, and you can continue to collect Grim Favors from them to exchange for more random gear. This is good, because youāll need strong equipment to complete the next recommended challenge.
Raise your world tier
Once you finish the Diablo 4 campaign, youāll likely hover around level 50 for your troubles. Coincidentally, whether youāre playing on World Tier 1 or 2, level 50 is where the level scaling maxes out. Sure, this may be nice if you just want to feel powerful, but this is no environment to keep leveling up and finding better loot.
Fortunately, youāll have access to a Capstone Dungeon in Kyovashad. The Cathedral of Life has a set level of 50, and youāll need to clear it on World Tier 2 to complete the āWorld Tier 3: Nightmareā Priority Quest. Consider this a test dungeon to see if you can handle World Tier 3. Clearing it involves slaying dense mobs of powerful monsters, culminating in a fierce boss battle at the end. If youāre comfortable with your build and have sufficiently upgraded your gear, you should handle this well.
Once you clear the Cathedral of Light, youāll have access to World Tier 3. Youāll want to hop in here as soon as youāre able, as the gear here is exponentially better than what youāve found so far. That said, note that content in World Tier 3 has a level 53 minimum. You should feel okay if you cleared the Cathedral of Life, but just keep this in mind.
Of course, once you reach level 70, youāll want to ascend to World Tier 4 by completing the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in the northern Dry Steppes. But thatās a task for another time.
Max out your Renown
Up to this point, Renown has been one of your best ways to āgrindā in Diablo 4. With World Tier 3 unlocked, you now have access to all five tiers of rewards in all five regions. Since youāre mostly focusing on gaining levels at this stage anyway, you might as well max out your Renown.
To do this, youāll want to leave no stone unturned. Complete dungeons, clear Strongholds, and collect all the Altars of Lilith for the extra stats. To help with that last task, check out our guides below!

Complete Challenges
Honestly, between the tasks above, you should find plenty to keep you busy in the endgame as is. However, if youāre looking for other objectives, check out your Collections window and look at the Challenges.
If you need to find reasons to keep playing, Challenges should give you plenty to do. Some of the grindier challenges ā like slaying 10,000 zombies ā will naturally come with time. However, notable challenges include reaching level 100 with all characters, defeating the strongest Echo of Lilith, and completing several milestones on Hardcore mode. That last one is not for the faint of heart, but it will easily prove your mastery of Diablo 4.
Wait for new seasons
Just in the recommendations above, you should have plenty to do in Diablo 4 for the foreseeable future. However, Diablo 4 is also a live service game, which means seasonal content is on the way.
While we donāt know all the details about upcoming seasons, we do know that these will involve (mostly) fresh starts. Youāll create a character, level them up, and pursue unique quests and challenges for special cosmetic rewards. This is where the Battle Pass will come into play, so if that sounds exciting to you, then youāll want to check out this content when it comes.
Ultimately, thereās no right or wrong answer in how you want to enjoy the game. Pursue the goals you want or take a break and come back when thereās new content. Either way, youāll have a lot to do in Diablo 4 if you want to keep the fun going.
