As we learned last week, Microsoft is kicking off a new initiative called “Play Anywhere,” which will link digital purchases across the Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms. Games can still come to Steam and other storefronts on PC, cross-play isn’t guaranteed, and physical copies won’t grant any such advantage, mind, but it’s a nice thing all the same — especially since Season Passes and DLC will transfer.
For reference, you can find a full list of the 12 currently supported games below. Out of everything, I’m most excited to try out Cuphead and Scalebound. I know the latter looks a little slower than most Platinum titles, but the co-op element seems great.
Play Anywhere [Xbox.com]
- Cuphead
- We Happy Few
- Crackdown 3
- Ark: Survival Evolved
- Gears of War 4
- Forza Horizon 3
- ReCore
- Sea of Thieves
- Halo Wars 2
- Killer Instinct Season 3
- State of Decay 2
- Scalebound
