Here’s some info on the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Greninja loot, moves, and stats

The time has come

Greninja is now live in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and it’s time to see what the fuss is all about! We caught one today and have all of its stats, abilities, and moves fully available to peruse below.

As a reminder, you can find the Greninja Tera Raid schedule and a guide for how to unlock it here.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Greninja loot list

Here’s everything I earned when taking down the seven-star Greninja on the first run, so you have an idea of what to expect if you’re farming it (remember, you can only catch one per save file, but you can keep looting indefinitely):

  • Exp. Candy L x 15
  • Exp. Candy XL x 9
  • Carbos x 10
  • Poison Tera Shard x15
  • TM091 x1
  • Ability Patch x1
  • Star Piece x2
  • PP Up x1
  • Nugget x2
  • Sassy Mint x1

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Greninja moves and stats

The Greninja from the event is a Poison Tera Type, with water and dark types as well. It clocks in at level 100, with the following moves (and the Protean ability):

  • Gunk Shot (5/5)
  • Hydro Pump (5/5)
  • Ice Beam (10/10)
  • Night Slash (15/15)

And the following stats:

  • HP – 285
  • Sp. Atk – 242
  • Sp. Def – 195
  • Speed – 252
  • Defense – 170
  • Attack – 226

Mine is “sassy by nature.” It also provides the “Mightiest Mark” reward, which is a mark earned through catching a Pokemon in a seven-star Tera Raid battle. The title for the Mightiest Mark is “Greninja the Unrivaled.”

Does the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Greninja count as a Paldean Pokedex entry?

Seemingly, no. After catching it my Paldean Pokedex remained the same: ending at entry 400, just like it had at launch.

When the National Pokedex comes into play, it’ll likely fill out an entry then.
