Chesnaught is here in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and with it comes a corresponding 7-Star raid. Anyone who defeats Chesnaught will be able to catch it, so we caught it as we always do. Check out all its stats, abilities, and moves below.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Chesnaught loot list

Here’s everything I earned during my first clear of this battle. As a reminder, you can only catch Chesnaught once while the event is live. However, you can run the battle continuously for rewards.

  • Exp.Candy L x6
  • Exp.Candy XL x4
  • Iron x5
  • Rock Tera Shard x20
  • Rock Tera Shard x10
  • TM150 x1
  • Ability Patch x1
  • Rock Tera Shard x10
  • Rare Candy x2
  • Exp.Candy L x5
  • Nugget x2
  • Exp.Candy L x3
  • Iron x5
  • Exp. Candy L x5
  • Exp. Candy L x3
  • Rare Candy x2

Overall, a standard drop list that’s consistent with previous encounters. TM150 (Stone Edge) and the Ability Patch are only guaranteed to drop once, though more Ability Patches may appear if you continue to farm this encounter.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Chesnaught moves and stats

Chesnaught has the Rock Tera Type, so it naturally features moves that reflect its Type advantages. Like past events, it is level 100 and has its hidden ability Bulletproof. Here are its moves:

  • Earthquake
  • Hammer Arm
  • Stone Edge
  • Woodhammer

Here are Chesnaught’s stats:

  • HP – 317
  • Attack – 250
  • Defense – 308
  • Sp. Atk – 165
  • Sp. Def – 186
  • Speed – 164

Also like past 7-Star encounters, Chesnaught will have the Mightiest Mark. This grants it the title of Chesnaught the Unrivaled.

Does the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Chesnaught count as a Paldean Pokedex entry?

Nope! The Pokedex will stay at a maximum of 400, regardless of how many event monsters you catch. This may change down the line, but for now, Chesnaught doesn’t affect your Pokedex completion.
