Harumasa Best Team Compositions in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)

It's all about efficiency.

Given how easy it is to enable and trigger his Additional Ability, Harumasa can be considered one ā€”if not theā€” most friendly S-Rank DPS to build around in Zenless Zone Zero. But that does not mean he will be a sure fit in every team. Here are the best teams for Asaba Harumasa in Zenless Zone Zero, no matter if you are a whale, a low-spender, or a fully F2P player.

The Best Teams for Harumasa in Zenless Zone Zero

The best team for Harumasa in Zenless Zone Zero will have him as its main DPS, Qingyi as its stun unit/sub-DPS, and Caesar as its support. As many can guess, this team will be as straightforward as you can imagine and rely on Qingyi to quickly stun targets before Harumasa takes the field for some easy Electro Quivers and massive damage. Caesar’s buffs will also be vital here, as she will take the team’s damage to the sky and allow the above to do their jobs uninterrupted.

For those who, like me, could get Qingyi, Yanagi can work as a more than worthy substitute, given her ability to deal massive damage while keeping enemies in an almost uninterrupted state of Shock. Using Lycaon and Lighter can also wor,k given their massive daze application. If you are looking for a less expensive team, you can check out the best team variations by Harumasa below and his best F2P composition by heading further down.

Harumasa + Yanagi + Rina

As Harumasa’s damage output skyrockets when hitting targets either stunned or afflicted by anomalies, this team relies on using Yanagi to keep opponents in Shock, all while having in Rina both a great PEN Ratio buff and the ability to extend our focused anomaly effect by three very welcome seconds. Also, did I mention that she will also boost Harumasa’s Electric DMG by 10%? If you don’t have Yanagi, using Grace can also work in this composition.

When using the team above, make sure to only bring Harumasa to the field after applying Shock, as doing so will immediately give you access to six feathers. If you don’t have Yanagi or Grace but want to make full use of the Rina + Harumasa synergy, Lycaon will be the best overall pick. The reason? His Aditional Ability’s 35% Stun DMG Multiplier boost. In case you don’t have Rina, Seth will be my main pick given his Anomaly focused set.

Asaba Harumasa + Koleda/Lighter + Lucy

A jack-of-all-trades variation of our BIS team, this composition will have its driving force inĀ KoledaĀ or LighterĀ while having Lucy a massive ATK buff. Although many might overlook her, I consider Koleda to be just as good as Lighter here, as even if not able to match the champion’s daze application speed, her 70% Chain Attack DMG boost can make a huge difference.

As Lucy was available for free during 1.3 and Koleda is part of the game’s standard S-rank pool, their variation helps make this team one of the most F2P-friendly in the game for Harumasa.

The Best F2P Team for Harumasa in ZZZ

To the delight of all, Harumasa’s best F2P team actually features two starting agents, Anby and Nicole. As you might have guessed, this team will be another variation of our BIS, where Anby will take on Qingyi’s spot. Although not an obvious pick for those not used to her kit, Nicole will then provide a great but situational damage boost to Harumasa via her 25% (up to 40%) defense debuff.

If using her Signature W-Engine, the leader of the Cunning Hares will then become an even better pick via her ability to boost the damage of the whole party against targets by 15% (24% at R5).

The Best Bangboos for Harumasa

When taking any of the teams above the field, I recommend using a Bangboo matching their main element, as doing so will allow you to build up anomaly faster while only needing to put Harumasa in the field at optimal times. Here are the best Bangboos for all of the best teams for Harumasa:

  • Harumasa + Qingyi/Yanagi + Caesar: Plugboo, with Electroboo being my main alternative. If using Yanagi, Agent Gulliver will be by far the best choice.
  • Harumasa + Yanagi/Grace + Rina: Agent Gulliver if using Yanagi and Plugboo if using Grace or Lycaon.
  • Harumasa + Koleda/Lighter + Lucy: Rocketboo, with Cryboo being the best alternative.
  • Harumasa + Anby + Nicole: Plugboo with Electroboo being, once again, the best alternative.

Now that you know which are the best teams for Harumasa, I also highly recommend that you check out the best teams for Miyabi. Believe me, although the game’s top tier even by herself, picking the right team will take her to a whole new domain.
