Hamsterball bringing hamsters, balls to PS3 this week

TikGames has announced that its upcoming game, Hamsterball, is hitting PlayStation Network this Thursday for $9.99.

It’s basically what you’d expect from a game called Hamsterball — hamsters (in balls) race around timed obstacle courses. The game will feature solo play, split-screen, and a six-player “Sumo Mode” that TikGames likens to “King of the Hill.” (The game mode, not the television show.)

You get 50 levels for your ten bucks, and if you’ve played Monkey Ball and thought “Man, I wish these monkeys were hamsters,” Hamsterball sounds like a bargain.
