Everyone has their own opinion about which is the best Elder Scrolls game. Many of you will immediately think of Skyrim, which is understandable given its immense success over these past [checks notes] 11 years. Older fans may be more inclined to look back at some of the more classic titles, such as Morrowind.

However, as lauded as Morrowind was (and still is), there’s one thing that may have held it back slightly. And that is you were never able to have a dog companion with you. Thankfully, we have mods for that.

Say hello to Cory, a canine buddy that comes courtesy of superliuk. The dog itself is actually based off its creator’s real life pet. You’ll find Cory right at the start of the game in Seyda Neen. Note that this is an early version of the mod, and you’ll need the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions to install it.

Thankfully, the Cory mod includes options to keep your pet healthy. Brave the wilds of this Elder Scrolls game knowing that you can protect your loyal doggo.

Try other Morrowind dog companion mods too

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Morrowind get a dog companion mod. Back in 2009, the mod “Dog Companions v 2 featuring Caits models” was released, and has since amassed over 1000 unique downloads. Vintage mods like Grumpy and Emma’s Wolf Companion also still exist in the wild. You have plenty of choices if you want a canine companion in Morrowind.

That said, if you want something new, give superliuk’s work a try. You can see the real life Cory for comparison on the nexusmods page!
