The father-son duo Kratos and Atreus are back and better than ever in the upcoming God of War Ragnarok PC release, which will launch on Sept. 19, 2024.
At the PlayStation State of Play 2024 showcase, it was revealed that the game’s PC spec will harness the power of NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XESS 1.3. This cutting-edge technology, combined with “unlocked frame rates” and “super ultrawide support,” ensures an extraordinary gaming experience.
You can also play the Valhalla DLC, which will be a part of the PC release, to get more bang for your buck. In this story, you’ll experience the journey of Kratos and Atreus as they explore the Nine Realms. The action-adventure game unravels the secrets within Ragnarok’s profound lore, which is heavily tied to Greek mythology.
I’ve pleasantly enjoyed seeing the God of War franchise take off over the years. I remember the old PS2 days when Kratos was just a brute with a large weapon. Now, he’s become a loving father to show off his more sentimental side. It’s not something I quite expected, but it’s welcomed, nonetheless.
Now that the God of War Ragnarok PC release is on its way, I’m curious to see when the next entry will debut. But for now, make sure to mark your calendars for its Sept. 19, 2024 debut.
