During Gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live, Developer Coffee Stain Studios announced that the original Goat Simulator title is returning as Goat Simulator: Remastered. The game is slated for a 2024 release, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Goat Simulator: Remastered is the definitive version of the original PC title that took the world by storm when it was initially released. It packs in the base game and every piece of DLC that made the game great into one package for a new audience to enjoy on modern systems. From the world go, you get to choose whichever goat you fancy playing as and whatever game mode or world you want to play in and explore and enjoy in whatever way you want.
Bringing back the goat
The announcement trailer for Goat Simulator: Remastered perfectly encapsulates the game’s nonsense. The gameplay revolves around exploring various worlds and causing as much chaos as possible when you’re a tiny goat with nothing but bad ideas.
Get ready to be transported back to 2014, where times were simpler and everyone just wanted to be a Goat. Goat Simulator Remastered is launching during the 10th anniversary of the original game, and we’re so excited to celebrate by bringing back the inspiration behind both Goat Simulator 2 and Goat Simulator 3, giving fans an opportunity to re-experience beloved goat-fueled memories with glorious new graphics and improvements.

You can hook people with your tongue and throw them around, unlock doors and raid houses, blow up cars, and do all sorts of other things that you just know goats would do if they weren’t constantly being watched. The DLC only provides more opportunities for mischief, and even a previously mobile-exclusive one is now included in the game.
- GoatVille – Goat Simulator‘s version of the Big Apple.
- Goat City Bay – A coastal island close to GoatAsia
- Goat MMO – Goat Simulator‘s version of an MMO. Yes, it’s bonkers.
- Goat Z – A goat facing off against the undead.
- PAYDAY – Goat together for a heist or two.
- Waste of Space – Explore space and find every sci-fi movie reference this side of the sun.
- Buck to School – Previously exclusive to Goat Simulator Mobile.
I enjoyed Goat Simulator when it was initially released, but it’s very much a product of its time. The joy of this game comes from making discoveries, completing achievements, and often just when watching someone else play it. Bringing it back to celebrate 10 years of Goat Simulator is a fantastic milestone, but I’m not certain the title will make as much of a splash with new players in 2024.
