Diablo 4 has a plethora of side quests that can be completed to further your renown. Unfortunately, some quests like the Fury Against Fate found in the Dry Steppes tend to bug out and prevent completion. We tried this side quest ourselves and encountered the same bug, so were determined to find the best ways to complete the quest. As such, we’ve figured out a Fury Against Fate quest bug fix forĀ Diablo 4.

How to unlock Fury Against Fate quest

First, you you have to unlock the quest! While most side quests are available as soon as you access their zone, Fury Against Fate is actually part of a quest chain. To be precise, it’s the third quest in the chain.

The first quest is Consumed by Pride. You can access this quest by heading to the north part of the Untamed Scraps in the Dry Steppes. to an area called the Crane Tribe Hutmoot. Here you will find an NPC named Ealda. She will serve as your quest-giver throughout this entire chain.

Once you’ve picked up the quest, head south into the Field of Broken Spears. At the bottom of the blue circle on your map, you will find a Mutilated Barbarian corpse. Interacting with it will update the quest, and you must now return to Ealda.

You will get a follow-up quest called Raising Spears. Your objective here is simple: Head to the nearby Champion’s Demise dungeon and collect eight Blood-etched Spears. You will find these scattered and sticking out of the ground throughout the dungeon. If you haven’t completed this dungeon at least once, make sure you do so for the Renown.

Fury Against Fate quest guide

After turning in the Raising Spears quest, you’ll pick up Fury Against Fate. Begin heading southeast until you reach the Wasting Hollow dungeon. Inside you will find Ealda. Speaking with her begins the charge into the dungeon.

Now if the quest works properly, you will destroy the Gore-soaked Barricade and then defeat all the nearby enemies. After speaking to Ealda once more, a final onslaught of enemies will ambush you. Defeat these enemies and you will finally finish the quest chain.

Unfortunately, the quest doesn’t always seem to work properly. Sometimes the Crane Tribe army will not charge the dungeon with you after speaking with Ealda.Ā  When this occurs, the quest bugs out and fails to trigger quest completion. Although this can be very annoying, the cause of the bug is clear and therefore very easy to fix.

There’s an often-active event named Hold your Ground right outside the Wasting Hollow dungeon. Complete the event, then quickly head back into the dungeon and talk to Ealda. If the bug happens again, relog then head back outside and see if the event is active again. If so, once again clear the event then head back inside and attempt the quest.

Even though the event is outside, it seems to somehow bug out the Crane Tribe army. Therefore, you must complete the portion of the quest where you charge the dungeon before the event is active again.
