It’s not too late for E3 leaks to reach critical mass. On the Friday afternoon before E3 2019, an image for From Software’s next project the rumored collaboration with A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin surfaced online. The game in question is Elden Ring, and it’s coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Elden Ring is pitched as a “new world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin,” which, hell yes. We’re there. The game is “a fantasy action-RPG adventure,” the studio’s “largest” yet.

There aren’t any screenshots of Elden Ring (which I’m actually glad about; I want some surprises left for the stage), but considering these madmen actually did it, we all have permission to freak out.

[Update: At E3, we got our first proper look at Elden Ring and learned more about its world, which Miyazaki says will be home to a “wide variety of unique and horrifying bosses.”]
