Freestar Collective questline and rewards in Starfield

Let's go yee some haws.

Saddle up, partners. It’s time to go over the Freestar Collective questline in Starfield and check out its rewards. Unlike the Crimson Fleet questline, your journey with the space sheriffs is less complex. There is a conspiracy to untangle, mind, but the sides are pretty clear. You’re an officer of the law — space law. And it’s time to dish out some justice. Space justice.

You get your first chance to join the Freestar Collective when you reach Akila City in the Cheyenne star system. When you arrive, a bank is being robbed, and Marshall Daniel Blake is running out of options. Help him see things through and take your first step in becoming a deputy.

Freestar Collective questline

  • Job Gone Wrong
    • A bank is getting robbed by some apparently reluctant thieves. Persuade them to turn themselves in or go in blazing.
  • Deputized
    • Prove your worth once more by finishing any task from the mission board. You hear tale of a stolen ship.
  • Where Hope is Built
    • After rescuing Nia Kalu, head to Hopetown and meet Ron Hope. This is the start of an interesting relationship. You learn that former soldiers of The First are the ones causing a ruckus.
  • Shadows in Neon
    • In this mission, we head to Neon and hunt down a woman with ties to the stolen ship and The First.
  • First to Fight, First to Die
    • You track down The First to an old mech-building facility on Arcturus II. After a long and tough fight you meet The First’s leader, Paxton Hull. He tells you who was behind everything and then goes out in a blaze of gunfire.
  • The Hammer Falls
    • It’s time to confront the one behind everything and hand out justice, one way or another.

Freestar Collective questline rewards

Every completed mission in the Freestar Collective questline offers a chunk of credits and 150 to 350 XP. But, of course, the best rewards are the weapons you can earn throughout. You’re also given a deputy hat and uniform once you join.

You get your first gun, the Deadeye, after completing the mission Deputized. It’s a unique variant of the Razorback revolver. And it’s damn pretty, to boot. The Deadeye sports a silver and gold veneer with engravings. It’s also powerful and helped me take out quite a few bad guys during this questline.

Final mission rewards

Your second gun, the Justifier, is awarded following the completion of The Hammer Falls. It’s a unique variant of the Lawgiver and comes heat-treated. This is another impressive weapon, equipped with depleted uranium rounds by default. Bank robbers won’t know what hit them.

The most impressive of the rewards for completing the Freestar Collective questline is a brand new spaceship you can jet around with in your Starfield adventure. Once you receive your Ranger badge, the Marshall hands you the keys to the Star Eagle. Among all the free ships you can find in the game, the Star Eagle is one of the very best. It can hold up to five crew members and includes 2,200 cargo space. Other than the ship, you also get a Freestar Ranger Badge, a Ranger Power Pack, a Ranger Space Helmet, and a Ranger Spacesuit.
