Fortnite just finished hosting its “Primal” season, filled to the brim with iconography like bows and dinosaurs. Now it’s seemingly moving to the future with Fortnite Season 7.

Amid multiple leaks (and in-game event teases) that the next season would be alien/UFO-based, Epic is now fully providing “beam-up” imagery and teases; preparing players for what’s to come. In the teases so far we’ve seen a high-tech shotgun, a guitar, a conspicuous set of glasses, a ray gun, a helmet, and a robot.Ā So the robot and glasses are of special note in Fortnite Season 7.

Those rims look exactly like Clark Kent’s glasses: and the recent string of DC promotions (including Batman) would allow Superman to slot in nicely with the “alien” festivities. The robot is also very obviously a Rick and Morty crossover, as it’s the exact same “butter passing” automaton from the show. Literally nothing is immune to the charms ofĀ Fortnite: I would not be surprised to see literal Tom Cruise appear in the game to promoteĀ the nextĀ Mission: Impossible film at some point. Epic has courted pretty much every IP on the planet, in addition to real-life musicians and filmmakers. I still can’t believe Nolan made such a big stink about seeing films in theaters after screening some of his stable inside of a video game. Oh, and who could forget the canon-based story forĀ Rise of SkywalkerĀ that was inĀ Fortnite. You really can’t make stuff like this up: so Superman andĀ Rick and Morty references are completely believable.

For reference, the new season will be revealed here in less than a day.
