I’d love to play Red Dead Online with my friends on Xbox One!

After their comprehensive evaluation process,” someone at Sony realized that maybe locking Epic Games accounts to their platform and not allowing players to play against people on other platforms didn’t quite live up to their motto of “for the players.” Admittedly, I am kind of shocked they’re committing to this. PlayStation has normally been very stubborn about their platform interacting with third-parties in any sort of way.

Hell, just look at the mod shop debacle with Bethesda’s stuff in the past or even Sony Chief Executive Kenichiro Yoshida’s previous statement he made just last month: “On cross-platform, our way of thinking is always that PlayStation is the best place to play. Fortnite, I believe, partnered with PlayStation 4 is the best experience for users, that’s our belief.”

However, I can’t help but wonder if this will just be for Fortnite going forward or if Sony has plans to make cross-play the new standard. With Red Dead Redemption 2 right around the corner and some of my friends picking it up for Xbox One X, it sure would be nice to play with them on PS4.

But, what games do you wanna see have cross-play support on PS4 in the future?
