Fortnite fans are convinced next Star Wars crossover is Han Solo-themed

Never tell me the odds.

May is on the horizon, which can only mean one thing: Star Wars Day on May 4. Epic Games has dropped the teaser for this year’s Fortnite crossover, and fans are convinced it will be themed around the galaxy’s favorite smuggler, Han Solo.

There’s one major reason behind thisā€”the caption included in the post. The video is fairly straightforward. The Fortnite logo sits in front of the classic Star Wars space background before the logo of the movie franchise moves into the frame. The caption, however, reads “I’ve got a good feeling about this…”

This may not mean much to you just yet, but if you cast your mind back to the Star Wars moves, you might start to remember that the phrase “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” is used a lot, and on multiple occasions by Han. However, in Solo: A Star Wars Story, the legendary smuggler utters the phrase: “I’ve got a really good feeling about this,” a rare occurrence in the franchise.

With that in mind, Fortnite fans are convinced we’re getting more Han Solo content in the game this May. We’ve already got a classic Han skin and the Millennium Falcon glider, but they could choose to look at Solo: A Star Wars Story as inspiration for this event. Plus, we’ve never actually had an official Chewbacca skin in the game, and you can’t have Chewie without Han being there too.

Of course, with fans now geared up for a Han Solo-themed event, there’s one thing that Star Wars fans are clamoring for: They want “I’m Han Solo” from Kinect Star Wars added to Fortnite Festival. A true banger, if I say so myself.

In the past, we’ve seen Stormtroopers, Jedi, and even Darth Vader appear on the island, bringing space warfare to the battle royale. Personally, I was delighted to see Darth Maul in 2023, who I thought was the coolest character ever when I was a kid thanks to his double-bladed lightsaber.

Whatever happens, we won’t have long to wait to find out what’s included, as the official Fortnite account says the Star Wars event will kick off on May 3, 2024.
