The weekly Fisch update is here, and this time, Dr. Finneus will task you to fish out some fossils for him. Your reward: a limited-time rod! To help you finish the event, here is our complete guide on the Archeological Hunt in Fisch, including the list of all bone locations and how to get the new Relic Rod.

How to Find Dr. Finneus in Fisch

Dr. Finneus (1170, 130, 2460) is located on a barge in the open ocean, right between Terrapin and Snowcap. You can talk to him to see the full Archeological Hunt bestiary and inquire about the quest. Talking to him before you fish out all the fossils is unnecessary.

All Fisch Archeological Hunt Bone Locations

In the table below, you can find all bone (fossil) locations from the Archeological Hunt event in Fisch. Note that they do not have any preferred bait, weather, or other conditions. So, just use the best Universal Luck/Lure Speed bait you have.

How to Get the Relic Rod in Fisch – Stone Puzzle Solution

After you’ve fished out all the bones listed above, go to Dr. Finneus and talk to him. He will give you a map with the coordinates of the Archeological Site (4040, 130, 80) and the solution to the stone puzzle. Make your way to the island and find the puzzle on the designated coordinates.

To solve the stone puzzle, look at the order of the symbols on the map (there is a 3×3 symbol grid; if you don’t have a map, no matter what combination you try, the door won’t open):

  • The top row is symbols 1, 2, 3.
  • The middle row is symbols 4, 5, 6.
  • The bottom row is symbols 7, 8, 9.

Press the symbols on the stone tablet in the designated sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) and a hidden stone door will open. Go to the bottom of the hidden path to find the Relic Rod, where you can then buy it for C$8,000.
