The next Nintendo musou crossover is just around the corner, asĀ Fire Emblem Warriors: Three HopesĀ closes in. Today, Nintendo spotlights one of the factions the protagonist can side with inĀ Three Hopes under the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, a.k.a. the Blue Lions.

The Kingdom of Faerghus is one of three nations in FĆ³dlan, the setting of bothĀ Fire Emblem: Three HousesĀ and its upcomingĀ WarriorsĀ spinoffĀ Three Hopes. It represents one of three routes in the original game, and it looks likeĀ Three HopesĀ is taking a similar approach, having the protagonist Shez side with one of the three nations once again.

In today’s trailer, we get to see the Blue Lions of Faerghus in action. It basically serves as a roster confirmation for many of these fighters, but it’s interesting to see how warriors like Ingrid and Ash fight. Also, we’d seen glimpses of Dedue before, but now we know. It is Deduesday.

As for the rest of the bunch, hopefully we’ll get some confirmation soon. We’ve seen Claude and Hilda from the Golden Deer, and Edelgard and Hubert from the Black Eagles. With all the Blue Lions in the Three Hopes lineup, odds seem good we’ll at least see every student take the field.

War of theĀ Three Houses

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three HopesĀ is both the secondĀ WarriorsĀ crossover withĀ Fire EmblemĀ and, seemingly, an alternative timeline story forĀ Three Houses. Basically, it seems likeĀ Three HopesĀ will be toĀ Three HousesĀ whatĀ Age of CalamityĀ was toĀ Breath of the Wild.

Hopefully the time between has given Omega Force and Team Ninja some time to work on the formula. WhileĀ Fire Emblem WarriorsĀ had some cool ideas, it also fell a bit flat compared toĀ Hyrule Warriors.

With the underpinning story and world ofĀ Fire Emblem: Three Houses, maybe the massive army-slaying action genre will click with this franchise.Ā Fire Emblem Warriors: Three HopesĀ launches for Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022.
