Triples is best
They always say two heads are better than one, but few expect a third. That’s the surprise power of Gorgimera, the Tricephalic Terror Hunt inĀ Final Fantasy XVI, which can unleash all kinds of elemental damage with its tri-attacks.
The Tricephalic Terror Gorgimera is an S-Rank Hunt inĀ Final Fantasy XVI, and carries some worthwhile rewards. Namely, you’ll want to take down Gorgimera for its Orichalcum, a very useful resource for late-game equipment upgrades. So let’s take down all three heads for one big prize.
Gorgimera the Tricephalic Terror location & directions inĀ Final Fantasy XVIĀ (FF16)
Following the Tricephalic Terror Hunt board posting inĀ Final Fantasy XVI, you’ll be looking towards the Velkroy Desert in the Dhalmekian Republic for your target. Fast-travel to the Velkroy Desert Obelisk and head south, around the ridgeline towards the empty area north of the Dalimil Inn.
Here, you’ll see the chimeric entity vibing in the desert, waiting for a challenger. Let’s not keep it waiting, right?
Final Fantasy XVIĀ (FF16) Gorgimera the Tricephalic Terror tips & tricks
The main attack Gorgimera uses is the Delta Attack. It makes a circle around Clive’s location, with different elements closing into the center, before erupting in a big explosion. It’s fairly easy to dodge, in my experience, though it gets a little trickier once it starts placing several on the ground through Delta Force.
The other big mechanic to get down is how the Ram’s Voice and Dragon’s Voice attacks work. Final Fantasy XIV players, especially the Blue Mages, are going to have it a bit easier here. Dragon’s Voice erupts in an area further out from the beast, making a position close to it safe.
Ram’s Voice, meanwhile, makes it dangerous to stand near the beast, with an ice field erupting around it after a set period of time.
Basically, either one will erupt some magic in an area after a set amount of time, with the distance based on either Ram or Dragon. The text at the top will help, as well as noticing the element; Dragon is Lightning, while Ram is Ice.
Once you’ve got the strategy down, it’s a fairly straightforward fight. Just read the Voices well and you’ll take down the Tricephalic Terror ofĀ Final Fantasy XVI quick. Doing so will net you a piece of Orichalcum, which is crucial for endgame item crafting and making some of the best pieces of equipment in the game.
