Just give us the skinny on the DLC
[Update: Square Enix has claimed that “nothing was cut from the core game” when it comes to the DLC. Also, Various sites have noted that DLC 6 is an “online expansion” that “changes the game.”]
2016 is the year of vagueness. We have one of the most vague marketing campaigns in gaming history with No Man’s Sky, and now, another mystery season pass. Square Enix has attempted to shed a little light on what’s inside of the $24.99 pass (which you can peruse below), but the indeterminate as hell “booster,” “holiday,” and “expansion” descriptors are annoying.
In other news, two digital premium editions ($84.99) have been announced — one for the Xbox storefront, and the other for the PSN. They’ll each share four items (Masamune weapon, 16-bit buddies recolor, an angler set, a platinum leviathan recolor, and a camera kit), but the PS4 version will sport two themes and a mini soundtrack, while the Xbox One version will bring in three avatar items (Noctis male/female costumes, and a Carbuncle pet).
I was just talking about how great Final Fantasy XV looks from a gameplay perspective, and all of this stuff comes rolling in.
