Fields of Mistria is now officially Steam Deck verified

Guess I'm finally getting a Steam Deck

From day one of its early access release, Fields of Mistria has been praised for its performance on Steam Deck. Users reported from the moment the game was available to play that it ran seamlessly.

Now, three weeks into the life of the game, Fields of Mistria has achieved Steam Deck verification, so if you’ve been holding back on taking Mistria and its residents on the move with you due to lack of official backing, you’ve no longer got any excuses.

Thanks to this move, Fields of Mistria joins other cozy staples like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Stardew Valley, and Unpacking, which you can all take on the move with you. On the other hand, if you want to play without moving at all, the Steam Deck is also perfect for that, as long as you keep it next to your bed.

Obtaining Steam Deck verification means that the game performs as well on the handheld as it does on any other PC at default settings. With Fields of Mistria being in the style that it is, you can expect it to run just as well on Steam Deck as it does on any PC, regardless of settings.

On a personal note, this does prove problematic for me, as I recently said the fateful words “if Fields of Mistria gets verified, I think I might need to get a Steam Deck”. Well, true to my word, it’s now on order, and I can’t wait to visit Mistria on the handheld.
