Fields of Mistria gets its first patch, adding dialogue, gift options, and more

Now I need to figure out all the new gift options

Fields of Mistria has been out in Early Access for less than two weeks, and the devs at NPC Studios have already been hard at work. On August 15, Fields of Mistria received its first patch, addressing pesky bugs and delivering some updates based on community feedback.

If you’ve ever lost track of time decorating your farmhouse and passed out, only to wake up in the void of black space the next morning, then this patch is going to come as a relief to you—and for those who managed to accidentally put their Worn Tools in a Shipping Bin and have been stuck without tools, you’ll be happy to know that this update also fixes that issue and many more.

It’s worth noting that this is not an update intended to bring more features to the game, such as those mentioned in the Early Access roadmap. This is a bug fixing patch, although there are some small features thrown in for good measure.

There is a known issue regarding Steam Cloud Saves, which is causing invalid save files. In the patch notes, NPC Studios suggests turning off the Cloud Saves option and playing the game on the original device it was downloaded on to circumvent the issue while they actively seek to fix the root cause.
