FFXIV: Where to watch The Arcadion (Savage) World First Race

Live vicariously and enjoy the excitement

The first of Dawntrail’s Savage Raids are coming on July 30 and with so many people diving in, there are some elite raiding groups who take things to the next level and vie for the world first clear – here’s how you can watch this epic battle as it happens.

World First clears in FFXIV don’t come with any physical reward, or even in-game titles. There’s nothing more to this battle of the raiding experts than obtaining bragging rights, but that doesn’t make these world first races any less exciting to witness or their accomplishment any less impressive.

If you want to watch the raiding groups battle through AAC: Light-heavyweight (Savage), each team will likely be streaming this on their own Twitch channels, but there’s one channel taking the spirit of The Arcadion and adding their own commentary to the mix – MogTalk

The MogTalk stream will be raising money for Extra Life 4 Kids, a charity which backs local childrens hospitals to help ensure children with illnesses get the best of care, so simply watching this stream will be not only helping you to figure out the mechanics, but also helping others – so why watch anywhere else?

This World First Race comes after the champions of Pandaemonium, Neverland, signed up with Echo Esports, who boast many World First titles in World of Warcraft. Neverland will indeed be competing in this Arcadion World First Race, and in my opinion they’re definitely one to watch.

There will be plenty of other teams facing off against Neverland, including RAT and likely Aether Group 3, in the battle to be the first team in the world to clear the content, although the full list of those competing is not known at this time.

If you want to watch, MogTalk will be streaming the event at the following times on July 30, although these times are subject to change:

  • July 30
    • 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (PST)
    • 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (EST)
    • 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. (BST)

The Arcadion raids have thus far been dubbed the most challenging raid series in FFXIV history by a lot of players, leading to some discourse between fans as to whether they’re too difficult. However, the Savage Raids are sure to live up to their name and I for one can’t wait to watch the teams take on the killer mechanics.

Watching the World First Races is not only an exciting community moment in itself, but it can also be incredibly illuminating in helping to prep yourself for your own dive into the new Savage Raids. You can witness all of the mechanics, all of the retries, and admittedly some epic failures along the way safe in the knowledge that your own gear condition (or your sanity) is not at risk.
