Final Fantasy XIV features a number of activities that repeat on a daily and weekly timer. Remembering what time everything resets can be a hassle, let alone what task resets when. So, here’s when the FFXIV timers reset, as well as some weekly checklists to ensure you’re maximizing your in-game time.
These times are affected by Daylight Savings and should be adjusted accordingly.
When does the Daily Timer reset in FFXIV?
This timer affects the content that you can do every day. It resets at the following times:
PT | ET | GMT |
7 am | 10 am | 3 pm |
The FFXIV daily checklist
The Daily Reset in FFXIV affects the following activities:
- Tribal quest allowance
- 12 quests per day, spread across all Tribes.
- Duty Roulette
- The daily EXP and Tomestone bonus EXP for running Roulettes
- Mini Cactpot
- Purchase 3 Mini Cactpot tickets
- The Hunt
- When picked up from Huntmasters, the three non-elite Hunts change daily.
When does the Weekly Timer reset in FFXIV?
The Weekly Timers in FFXIV reset at the following time every week:
PT | ET | GMT |
Tuesday, 12 am | Tuesday, 3 am | Tuesday, 8 am |
The FFXIV weekly checklist
The Weekly Reset in FFXIV affects the following activities:
- Current tier raiding caps
- When a new Alliance Raid (i.e. 24 player raids) comes out, you can only roll for one item per week from it, and receive one exclusive token from it per week. This cap also applies to both normal and savage 8 player raids when they are new. If a weekly cap is in effect, you’ll see a notice at the top of the loot window.
- Tomestone caps
- FFXIV features a capped tomestone (i.e. endgame currency) that resets every week. Typically, the cap is 450. However, in some rare cases, the cap will be raised to 900 (typically before a new expansion launches).
- Custom Deliveries
- You’re given 12 allowances per week spread across all Custom Deliveries NPCs.
- Wondrous Tails
- A new Wondrous Tails book will become available from Khloe Aliapoh in Idyllshire every week if you’ve unlocked Wondrous Tails. However, you can’t receive a new book until you have turned in or discarded your previous book. A Wondrous Tails book will become ineligible for rewards if you hold onto them until the second weekly reset after you pick it up.
- Jumbo Cactpot
- You can purchase three Jumbo Cactpot tickets per week. The winning ticket is announced on Saturdays – the draw time depends on your World Server.
- The Hunt
- Elite Marks picked up from Huntmasters renew every week at this time.
- Masked Carnivale & Blue Mage Log
- Weekly rewards for completing content for Blue Mage reset at this time every week.
- Challenge log
- Challenges are reset weekly. Complete these for bonus Gil and EXP.
- Doman Enclave Reconstruction
- The limit for bonus Gil available for handing items into the Doman Enclave resets.
- Faux Hollows
- Two more attempts to complete the Ultimate Raid associated with Faux Hollows.
- Squadron Missions
- Once you unlock Squadron Missions in your Grand Company and advance your party to a high enough level, you can send your team out for one of the highest difficulty missions every week. Note that the weekly limit is for missions cleared, not missions attempted.
Other reset times in FFXIV
Grand Company hand-ins
This timer is seemingly completely out of sync with the rest of the game, but it’s worth remembering if you’re trying to grind for levels on your Gatherers or Crafters.
This timer resets daily at the following times:
PT | ET | GMT |
12 pm | 3 pm | 8 pm |
Fashion Report
A new theme for Fashion Report is revealed at the same time as the Weekly Reset, while judging begins every Friday at the same time as the Daily Reset.
Check out our guide on Fashion Report for more information.
Levequests
For reasons unknown, Levequests do not reset with the rest of the game’s content, either. While Levequests are on the less-played end of content, they are useful for EXP and potential rewards, especially for crafting and gathering classes. You are allotted 3 Levequests allowances every 12 hours, up to a maximum of 100.
The timer for Levequests resets at the following times:
PT | ET | GMT |
6 am | 9 am | 12 pm |
