FFXIV Mandervillious Weapons: How to farm Tomestones of Causality

It's easy when you know how

With the implementation of patch 6.55, we can now upgrade our Manderville weapons to their final stage – Mandervillious Weapons. Here’s a full list of ways you can stock up on Causality in order to get those final-stage Relics.

There’s a Mandervillious weapon available for every battle job except Blue Mage and to reach the Mandervillious stage for just one of them costs 6000 Tomestones of Causality. In order to upgrade every available weapon all the way from Manderville to Mandervillious, you’re going to need to gather up a whopping 120,000 Causality.

Tomestones of Causality only come from completing level 90 content with a level 90 Job, so there’s a limited number of duties that provide them.

Duty Roulettes

Duty Roulettes offer a daily bonus, and while they are only offered once per day, they are worth a grand total of 800 Causality each day without the additional Tomestones awarded for the Duty itself (if that duty is a level 90 duty) or first-timer bonuses, which we’ll get into later.

Here’s the rundown of how many Causalities you get for each Duty Roulette:

*Mentor roulette is only available once you’ve completed the requirements to unlock it. If you need some help with this, we have a complete guide on the subject.

First-timer bonuses

If you’re lucky enough to be partied up with someone who has never completed the level 90 duty before, you’ll receive a varying Causality bonus for simply being around when they do complete it.

This applies to all level 90 duties, whether it’s a dungeon or raid, so it’s very possible that you’ll receive this award at least once a day.

Level 90 dungeons

Each level 90 dungeon rewards a fixed number of Causality, which are earned over the course of the three bosses within that dungeon. Each boss offers a portion of the overall reward and the number of Causality you earn increases over the course of the dungeon.

For example, Alzadaal’s Legacy rewards a total of 50 Causality. You’re awarded 10 Causality for defeating Ambujam, 15 for defeating Armored Chariot and 25 for defeating Kapikulu. These make up the total Causality reward for Alzadaal’s Legacy.

If you run these dungeons as part of the Expert or Level 90 Dungeons roulettes, this base level Causality reward is additional to the reward from the Roulette bonus.

Here’s the full list of level 90 dungeons and their base level reward:

Trials and Raids

From the MSQ Trials to Myths of the Realm and Pandaemonium, completing them will earn you a few Causality every time you complete a run.

Again, if these come up during your participation in Duty Roulette.

The Hunt

One of the quickest ways to rack up those Causality is to join a hunt train and take down as many A or S Rank hunt marks as you can.

Finding a Hunt Train can be difficult, but it’s made easier by community-led resources such as the Faloop! Discord server

For every Endwalker A rank you take down as part of a Hunt Train, you’ll receive 20 Causality. If your Train is lucky enough to stumble across an S rank, you’ll receive 80 Causality.

If you’re incredibly lucky and manage to spawn Ker, the “SS Rank” mark for Endwalker, you’ll net yourself 100 Causality for taking him down.

Other methods for collecting Causality

Variant dungeons

The Sil’dihn Subterrane, Mount Rokkon and Aloalo Island all offer 40 Tomestones of Causality for completing a path, whether or not you’ve completed the same path before.

Wondrous Tails

Chances are that if you’ve still got Jobs to level, you’ll be using Wondrous Tails as part of your efforts to do so and through doing so, you could get yourself a nice bonus of 500 Causality.

You’ll need luck on your side to do this, though, because in order to select the 500 Causality as your prize you need to get 2 lines on Khloe’s often unfair-seeming game.

Treasure Maps

Although you’ll only be rewarded Tomestones of Comedy for activities completed within a Treasure Dungeon, you do receive 10 Tomestones of Causality each time you open a Treasure Coffer, whether you spawn a portal or not.

While this may not seem like much, you can kill two birds with one stone and earn those sweet Treasure Dungeon rewards while gathering Causality as part of a Treasure Hunting party.

Crystalline Conflict

Both casual and ranked matches of Crystalline Conflict offer 20 Causality per run and with Season 10 having just begun, now is the time to dive in and start increasing your rank while working towards your Mandervillious Weapons!

Frontlines and Rival Wings

Every map of Frontlines and Rival Wings offers 50 Causality per run, so if you’re trying to get those Series rewards, you can earn some Causality at the same time.
