Super Service Penguin is sad

As we enter a new season, I’m still rejoicing over the West getting blessed with five Falcom titles. During this great period, I was waiting for XSEED to spill the beans about Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection’s release date. Lo and behold, the company revealed that it got pushed back to fall, with the original window being summer. Of course, it was nice to see them announce the news with a photo of the game’s signature penguin.

The reason behind its delay is a bug that crashes the game when you get poisoned. On top of that, the team encountered an issue where the English text wasn’t popping up in certain places.

When I first heard about Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection, I was down with playing another action RPG where food makes you stronger. Other than that, you explore a sky world as a guy who fights with a whip sword and a spellcasting vampire. Just like the party-based Ys installments, switching characters plays an important role in battles.

Since XSEED did a phenomenal job with their other Falcom titles, I can’t wait to hear about the game’s release date for Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store.
