Iron Galaxy and Modus Games’ Extinction is full of giant monsters. They’re an ugly bunch, all crooked teeth and dark green skin, seemingly angry and ready to crush a few buildings without any effort. The beasts are a constant, deadly threat; every one of them seems mighty pissed and eager to kill some humans.

But despite the size difference, some of Extinction‘s humans are prepared to fight back. In the game’s latest trailer, we get to see why: They’re sick of getting stomped on all the time.

With less than a month until its April 10 release, elements of Extinction‘s story are teased out in the above trailer. Humanity, it seems, was brought up on legends of agile warriors who conquered towering monsters. When myth became reality, a select few took up arms to fight back against the giants across the land. And that’s where players come in, as a new breed of hero ready to climb, leap, and slash their way towards humanity’s collective freedom.

In addition to the illustrated story bits, there’s some nice gameplay footage in the trailer. Extinction looks fast and punishing—the giants have size and power on their side. Obvious parallels to Attack on Titan aside, this scratches a specific high-flying combat itch.
