A huge part of most gacha games is gathering up as many characters as you can, and Zenless Zone Zero is no different. The game contains a huge cast that will undoubtedly grow over the years. The good news is that you can get your hands on some of them for free.
Every free character in Zenless Zone Zero
Below, you can find all the known free characters and how to get them:

One thing that I am not going to put on the list is that you WILL get a guaranteed S-Rank of your choice from the Star-Studded Cast Special Signal Banner that launches with 1.0, when you hit 300 Summons. You should be able to do this over time with Summons, which you earn for free, so it is worth keeping in mind as you play through the game.
It is also worth pointing out that Anby, Nicole, and Corin can give you a very solid team, just from those free characters alone. For people who never got around to pre-registration, Billy makes an excellent substitute for Corrin. Basically, the free starters all work very well together, and you can do some really solid character swaps to really increase DPS and take advantage of their kits. They are also all from the same group, so you get the bonus from having three Cunning Hares in your team. If you do go this way, you will want to try and pick up Amillon from the Bangboo Banner. This little guy will give Cunning Hare agents a huge increase to their critical damage, and that can get pretty silly with Billy.
Playing through the game will give you 100 free pulls on the character banners and 80 pulls on the Bangboo Banner. This should easily be enough to get you an S-Rank to use because the pity system will ensure you get one within 90 pulls. You should hit this 90 very quickly, allowing you to nab something for free with a little kick and power. For my money, it would be worth chasing Nekomata because of how well she works with Anby and Nicole, and she is also part of the Cunning Hares, so it just makes sense to keep the vibe alive.
