Every FFXIV Scion minion and how to get it

Who's your favorite Scion?

We all have a favorite Scion, whether we like to admit it or not – mine is G’raha, for the record – and what better way to show our love than to have a miniature version of them following us everywhere we go? Here’s every Scion minion and how to get your hands on them.

How to get every Scion minion

All minions that are available on the FFXIV Online score cost $5 USD / 2.88 GBP.

Wind-up Urianger

Looking just as he did when we were introduced to our favorite Shakespearian pal, this minion is available to purchase through the Online Store.

The ‘upgraded’ version of Urianger, donned in his rather fetching Astrologian attire. You can get this little guy by getting lucky with Wondrous Tales and exchanging one Silver Certificate of Commendation with Khloe (X5.7 Y6.0) in Idyllshire.

Originally available as part of The Rising celebrations in 2014, you can now buy this minion on the FFXIV Online Store.

Honestly, if you want a Scion minion then you better keep an eye on The Rising events, because they are a very popular reward. This one was a reward in 2016, but can now be purchased in the store.

Originally a reward for taking part in The Rising 2019, Brave New Y’shtola can be purchased on the FFXIV Online Store. Also, if a friend has a Wind-up Runar, he’ll offer her a flower whenever they’re close to one another.

Wind-up Alisaie

Dressed in her familiar Blue attire, this version of Alisaie can be purchased on the Online Store. Sadly, the term ‘Dress-up’ does not mean you can change her clothes, which doesn’t help when it comes to telling her apart from her Brother.

Alisaie went through an outfit change during her journey and this minion reflects that. To get your hands on it, you’ll need to get lucky on Wondrous Tales and exchange one Bronze Certificate of Commendation with Khloe (X5.7 Y6.0) in Idyllshire.

(Also known as Blue Alisaie) I’m not sure why Alisaie got an updated minion while her brother got forgotten, but if he’s your preference then this is the minion for you. He’s the guaranteed reward for completing the level 51 MSQ quest called “In Search of Iceheart”.

Wind-up Thancred

First appearing during The Rising in 2014, the mini version of Thancred can be purchased via the Online Store. Be warned, he likes doing flips.

As if one version of Thancred isn’t enough, you can also have him follow you around in his updated attire, complete with eye covering. This is another minion you get via Wondrous Tales, costing one Bronze Certificate of Commendation

Get lucky on Wondrous Tales and you can exchange a Bronze Certificate for this guy and Nidhogg’s eye. Alternatively, you could get really lucky and have him drop out of a Materiel Crate 3.0, which you can purchase for GC Seals from your GC Quartermaster.

Okay, so he doesn’t show you Nidhogg’s eyeball any more, but he does have a very scary looking lance. To get Dress-up Estinien, head to the Firmament and talk to Enie. He costs 1,200 Skybuilders Scrips.

Wind-up G’raha Tia

G’raha’s mini-me is not a hard minion to acquire – all you have to do is play through the MSQ. He’s the guaranteed reward for the level 80 quest called “Shadowbringers”. How could you not love this adorable little guy?

Wind-up Krile

Originally up for grabs during the 2016 events of The Rising, along with Dress-up Y’shtola, this minion can now be purchased on the Online Store. I can’t help but wonder how much hair Krile actually has under her rather large hood… Or maybe that’s just her wisdom.

Wind-up Lyse

Another minion available via the Online Store, Lyse can follow you around wherever you go. You can even match her attire if you purchase that from the Store too!

Wind-up Yda

Before she was Lyse, she was… Yda! To confuse matters, you can have her former alter-ego follow you around too! She’s available to purchase from the Online Store.

Wind-up Papalymo

From the time of Yda, comes Papalymo. Not too much smaller than his actual character, but a little cuter if you ask me. He’s on the Online Store as well.

Wind-up Moenbryda

When you think of the Scions, Moenbryda might not initially come to mind, but I’m including her here as an OG member. Another minion acquired by playing through the MSQ, Moenbryda’s tiny body double is obtained by completing the level 60 quest called “An Ending to Mark a New Beginning”.

Wind-up Tataru

We’re used to her being small, but not quite this small. Still, she’s likely having big business ideas inside that little head of hers. Tataru’s minion can be purchased from the Online Store.

Wind-up Minfilia

The last on the long list of Scion minions that originally came from The Rising 2014, the leader of the Scions is now available on the Online Store. Summon her if you want to confuse Thancred for a while.

Wind-up Mystel

I cannot complete this list without including this minion. While, no, he technically isn’t a part of the Scions, he just looks cooler with his crystal arm and First attire. He’s my favorite, so I had to add him in here.
