Despite the constant demand for a PC port of Bloodborne and developer FromSoftware more than willing to make it happen, Sony has yet to indicate it has any interest in the idea. In the meantime, you can always count on modders to provide the next best thing. In this instance, there is now a mod for Elden Ring that overhauls its visuals and gameplay to better resemble Bloodborne.
As spotted by GamesRadar, said mod is titled Elden Ring Graceborne and is available for download on Nexus Mods. Creator corvianNoctis states it’s in the alpha stage of development but, for something that’s still a work-in-progress, it looks mighty impressive based on its release trailer. The world of Elden Ring now looks even moodier, with enemies and boss fights given a complete redesign to fit the Bloodborne aesthetic. The playable Tarnished character has also been swapped out for Bloodborne‘s Hunter.
Aside from adding 22 armour sets, 35 weapons, 17 trick weapons and five firearms, Graceborne includes Bloodborne gameplay mechanics not present in Elden Ring, like gun parrying and the ability to quick step while locked onto an enemy. Even Bloodborne‘s healing mechanic has been carried over to replace Elden Ring‘s. According to the Nexus Mod listing, you can acquire all the new weapons and armour sets from a new NPC based in the Church of Elleh, one of the earliest locations you can reach in Elden Ring.
It’ll likely be a very long time until the mod is truly complete but, at the time of writing, it’s been downloaded over 5,700 times, and the comments under the YouTube trailer are full of nothing but compliments. It also just goes to show how passionate the Bloodborne fan-base is despite the game being nearly 10 years old at this point. Earlier this year, a group of fans came together to make an unofficial kart racing spin-off, but they had to change its name after Sony got in contact. Hopefully, something similar won’t happen with Graceborne.
