Eidos, send us Batman: Arkham Asylum immediately

Look, Eidos — whether or not what we’ve been hearing about the Batman: Arkham Asylum reviews is true, we ain’t mad at you. In your defense, you say it’s not, so we’ll go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt because you probably have a bunch of dangerous Batarangs lying around and we don’t.

So here’s the thing: while we make no promises that we’ll love the game once we see it from beginning to end (that’s not like us), one thing is pretty clear — God damn, it looks good. 

After the jump is a video that takes a look at some of the game’s villains, the Joker, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, and Mr. Zsasz specifically. Batman kicks their asses. They kick Batman’s ass. It’s all very major-motion-picture, a really well-edited trailer that gives us the impression that developer Rocksteady has nailed the atmosphere and feel of the Batman universe. 

While a damned good trailer doesn’t mean there’s a damned good game to back it up, we’re willing to give it a try. Immediately. Eidos, give us a call!
