No longer that special

Once EA FC 25 goes live, Manchester United might not remain as attractive a proposition as it is in EA FC 24. If you believe the latest social media rumors, the overall ratings of several footballers are going to take a hit.

The rumored overall ratings of Manchester United’s first-team squad come from @exofifa. Of course, any rumored number, before it’s made official from EA Sports, should be taken with a grain of salt. The rumored ratings, do match my expectations and predicted ratings I had done for the club.

Complete Manchester United player overall ratings in EA FC 25 (rumors)

Manchester United had a mixed season in 2023-24. There was silverware as the club managed to win the FA Cup, beating local rivals Manchester City. But they also had a miserable season in the Premier League and finished well below the expectations. Their premature exit from the Champions League also meant that several footballers are expected to get a drop in their ratings.

  • Bruno Fernandes 87
  • Lisandro Martinez 84
  • Matthijs De Ligt 84
  • Casemiro 84
  • Andre Onana 83
  • Luke Shaw 82
  • Jadon Sancho 82
  • Diogo Dalot 82
  • Marcus Rashford 81
  • Noussair Mazzraoui 81
  • Harry Maguire 80
  • Joshua Zirkzee 79
  • Alejandro Garnacho 79
  • Leny Yoro 78
  • Rasmus Hojlund 78
  • Mason Mount 78
  • Victor Lindelof 78
  • Christian Eriksen 78
  • Kobie Mainoo 77
  • Antony 77
  • Altay Bayindir 76
  • Tyrell Malacia 76
  • Amad Diallo 75
  • Johny Evans 74
  • Daniel Gore 61

If these rumored ratings turn out to be accurate, there will be some big drops. Casemiro and Rashford’s reduction in overall ratings appears significant. In comparison, Bruno Fernandes is rumored to be penalized just one overall rating (compared to his 88 in EA FC 24).

But it’s not all doom and gloom as far as the rumored “official” ratings are concerned. The young duo of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobie Mainoo are set to get some big raises over their FC 24 overalls. That’s expected since Garnacho has become a first-team regular, while Mainoo had a breakthrough season and even became a starter for England at the Euros.

It will be interesting to find out the stats breakdown of Manchester United players once the official data goes live.
