While users can now enjoy early access if they have EA Play, or the Ultimate Edition, most of the content requires you to access the servers. This is mandatory for any game mode that involves online matchmaking, including the entirety of Ultimate Team. Unfortunately, the unstable conditions of servers currently are preventing many from enjoying the new release.

EA FC 25 Can’t Connect to EA Servers error explained

If you have played older FC titles in the past, the server issues won’t be new. In fact, it’s pretty common across several sports titles from EA Sports. Typically, this error code is shown when your game can’t establish a connection with the official servers. This can happen due to a multitude of reasons. In this case, the problem seems to be caused by the high number of players trying to play the game.

If the server outage is caused from the side of the developers, there’s not much you can do to remove the problem. Typically, it takes EA Sports some time to sort out the issues with the servers, and to ensure that it’s working as intended. In this case, it doesn’t appear that the players are at fault.

For the time being, there are not many options than to just wait for the servers to become stable. The error also occurred for some players while they were playing Division Rivals. It might be the case that games against AI in modes like Squad Battles might work for some.

Try to take the following steps in the meantime to ensure that there’s no problem at your end.

  • Using a wired connection is always recommended compared to WiFi connections.
  • Make sure that background apps aren’t consuming your internet bandwidth. You can close apps using Task Manager on a PC that isn’t being actively used.
  • Having a closed NAT-type network can cause issues as well.

Hopefully, the recent cases of EA’s server errors will subside soon, and you should be able to enjoy EA FC 25.
