Trickster is a rather unique Arisen-only vocation in Dragonās Dogma 2. Rather than deal a lot of damage, you instead mostly buff your Pawns and flummox your enemies. Youāre no doubt going to get it eventually, but if you’re looking to secure the it, this is how you unlock the Trickster Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to get the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trickster Vocation
You canāt get the Trickster vocation until you get to Battahl. If you continue to follow the main questline, youāll eventually get to it through the quest Flickering Shadows. If you donāt want to wait, once you get to Battahl, just beeline it to the Reverent Shrine.
There, youāll meet Luz, who will teach you the vocation. For bonus points, go to the back of the shrine and climb to the roof. Move to the front of the shrine (above the front door) and youāll find Luz there, in the flesh. Sheāll teach you an additional move.
How to use the Trickster Vocation
As I mentioned earlier, the Trickster vocation is less about doing damage and more about empowering your Pawns. Itās too bad this is an Arisen-only power, since this is exactly the sort thing Iād want a Pawn to do. In any case, many of the skills held by the Trickster either create illusions to confuse enemies (without attacking them), while others buff Pawns.
Tricksters wield a censer as a weapon, which is pretty far out. One of the more interesting abilities allows the player to create solid objects ā specifically walls and bridges ā using their censer.
Altogether, itās a rather strange vocation thatās most useful to players who like to simply watch the combat unfold while gently altering the outcome. Itās, um, not for me. I like to be the one doing massive damage. However, if the Trickster sounds good to you, hopefully this guide helps.
