Today at E3, Bethesda confirmed that Doom will be getting updates for both Snapmap and multiplayer.

A “Hell” theme, extra weapons and items were also teased, as well as “true single-player experience” tools. One-flag CTF (Exodus) and a capture mode (Sector) are coming too for multiplayer, as well as new FFA gametypes. Unto the Evil will be the first DLC, and will provide the Harvester demon, more maps, and a new weapon. This is included in the $39.99 Season Pass or can be bought piecemeal for $14.99.

Also starting tonight, anyone can download Doom for free and play the first level. This offer stands for one week. Here’s a link for the demo on Steam, Xbox Live, and the PSN.
