Has your summer been too stress-free and nonviolent? After Doom Eternal launched in late May, has your life been deprived of ultragore and viscera? Bethesda will remedy that soon enough.

During today’s gamescom One Night Live stream, id Software showed the first gameplay trailer from Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 1. At the end, we got a release date. The first installment in this multi-part story add-on drops on October 20.

Peep that trailer to give yourself an idea of what’s in store. But, you probably already know. All that aforesaid violence and gore and viscera. Doom always checks those boxes.
