Dogmeat mod for Fallout 3 protects the pooch

Ever had trouble keeping your faithful pup Dogmeat alive in Fallout 3? Well, an intrepid mod designer may have the solution for you.

Introducing dog armor, which is like horse armor, except free and functional. In addition to protecting Dogmeat from damage, it can be outfitted with packs to give him a tradeable inventory and the mod also allows you to give him a new home to be sent to when you’re tired of him or it gets too dangerous. There’s even a dog whistle available to call him to your location.

The mod allows you get the canine suited up either by purchasing the armor from a couple of retailers or by crafting it yourself (in conjunction with the CRAFT mod). Future updates to the mod may even include a radio collar to allow you to track the mutt on your Pip-Boy.
