One of the exciting parts of the Dynasty mode in College Football 25 is the ability to play with your friends.
The presence of a cloud-based save allows you to create an online Dynasty, where you and your friends can take charge of different schools and their respective football programs. As accessible as the mode is when it comes to playing with your friends, there might be some disappointment if all of you are not on the same platform.
College Football 25 doesn’t have crossplay in Dynasty mode
Crossplay is a huge advantage when it comes to matchmaking in College Football 25. When enabled, it allows PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XlS players to belong in the same matchmaking pool. A larger pool results in quicker matchmaking.
Unfortunately, the same benefits aren’t available if you’re trying to play an online Dynasty save. This information is made clear by an official FAQ from EA Sports, which explains how crossplay works in the game. It’s unclear as to why the developers not include the feature across all game modes.
Usually, there are certain limitations when it comes to crossplay in the sports games from EA. However, College Football 25 isn’t only a console exclusive, but it’s also only available only on current-gen systems. Yet, there are limitations when it comes to players playing together without being restricted by the platforms of their choice.
Which College Football 25 modes have crossplay?
Three major modes in the game offer the benefits of crossplay:
- Play a Friend
- Road to the Playoff
- College Football Ultimate Team
While Ultimate Team offers crossplay, there are, again, certain limitations. The Auction House that you see in the game isn’t shared across different platforms. An Xbox user can only acquire items from other Xbox users, and the same goes for PlayStation users as well. However, they can matchmake with each other across game modes like Champs and Gauntlet (as long they haven’t manually disabled crossplay).
