Does Armored Core 6 have a photo mode? – Answered

You can also take photos in the hangar

In the modern era of gaming, everyone is constantly asking “Does X have a photo mode?” Well, does it?!

Typically big AAA releases do come with one, but not all of them arrive at launch. Thankfully Armored Core 6 does have photo capabilities both in-game and in the hangar/garage where you’ll build your mech.

Armored Core 6 has a photo mode, including photo capabilities in the hangar

The core photo mode can be found while partaking in a mission. Pause the game at any point and look down for the “enter photo mode” button at the bottom of the screen. On PlayStation, you’ll press the touchpad to enable it. We have the icon highlighted in the gallery above if you can’t find it.

From there you’ll get a host of typical photo mode options and filters, as well as the ability to move the camera around and hide (toggle) the UI display so that you can take an unfettered photo.

You can also take photos of your mech inside the hangar. You don’t need to pause the game first: instead, you’ll just press the “enter photo mode” button (again, touchpad on PlayStation), and boom, you’re right there in the hangar with photo mode enabled.

Can you pause inĀ Armored Core 6?

So you may have noticed I used the phrase “pause,” which applies to the core game itself. Yes,Ā you can pauseĀ Armored Core 6, which seems obvious to series regulars; but might not to folks who have only been accustomed to From Sofware’s work on theĀ Souls series.

Take advantage of it if you need to take stock during a particularly tough boss fight! The checkpoint system will have you covered though, which is much more forgiving thanĀ Souls‘ bonfires. If you die on nearly any boss fight in the game, you’ll be able to instantly start back up right before the battle takes place. When coupled with a pause feature, it’s pretty nifty!
