Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update includes Rift in Time’s final act, better clothing filters, and a new restaurant

Look out for the frogs.

Gameloft, the team behind the cozy farming-life sim game Disney Dreamlight Valley, released a developer video on August 14 revealing new features coming in their next major content update. This update, Dapper Delights, includes multiple major plot expansions, including Rift in Time’s concluding act, a new character, and even a new restaurant and food stall combo to add more variety to your village.

One of the highlights from the developer update video is the introduction of Tiana, the princess and protagonist of The Princess and the Frog. Alongside her friendship quest line, you’ll also build her restaurant and meal stall for buying to-go dishes whenever you wish. Like most updates, you’ll also have a new Star Path based on the Roaring 20s to work through between quests.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dapper Delights update will arrive alongside the Rift in Time expansion story’s conclusion. The third and final act, Treasures of Time, continues directly from where the second ended, with this part focused on tackling Jafar’s schemes directly and even infiltrating his palace to foil his plans once and for all.

Alongside main content updates, Gameloft is also adding multiple quality-of-time improvements to DDLV, with some highlights including cross-platform play for PlayStation consoles, a search function for furniture, and outfit presets. If there are specific clothes you always wear that get replaced by quest items, you can set an outfit as a preset. That way, you can wear it again right away without going through each clothing category individually. The update also adds “Mark as Favorite” and “Hide” options, so you won’t have to see dirty counters and random clothes in your menus.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dapper Delights update and Rift in Time finale will be available to download on August 21, 2024, for all platforms.
