What’s included in the Mysteries of Skull Rock update in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The Myseries of Skull Rock update features two new characters, a new explorable area, a fresh Star Path event, critter companion improvements, and much more. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

The biggest part of this update is the arrival of Peter Pan. The leader of the lost boys is bringing with him an array of quests to tackle and unique friendship rewards to earn. His house is the lost boys tree from Peter Pan, so you also have a new building to make room for.

There’s a second new character in this update, but they’re a bit more complex. The second individual is The Forgotten, the shadowy counterpart to our avatar. They’ve been around the valley for a long time, but we’ll finally be able to name and hang out with them as a proper villager in this update.

To progress the main storyline and your friendship with both characters, you need to venture inside Skull Rock and uncover what secrets are waiting inside. It’s not an official Peter Pan Realm, but instead a new secret map area similar to the Vitalys Mines or the Mystical Cave.

This update also introduces the Adventures in Neverland Star Path event. It’s packed with lots of pirate and mermaid-themed items to fit the general Peter Pan theme for this update. Some of the items included are fresh outfits for Minnie Mouse and Goofy, mermaid furniture, and a pirate Monkey critter.

In the realm of improvements, all critter companions are getting a massive upgrade. They’ll now have friendship levels, rewards, and the ability to be named as long as they’re not a specific character from a Disney film like Pua or Hei Hei. They can also help you gather resources while you tackle village tasks.

There’s plenty to look forward to in this update, but there’s also a lot you need to get done before it arrives. Be sure to finish all Dreamlight Parks Fest event quests before the event ends, since it will be over as soon as the next update arrives. This includes tackling several key duties like Mine Time!Destination: Imagination, Oh, BotherSquirrel!, and A Shining Icon.
