While searching for Oswald in Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Rift in Time expansion, you’ll encounter three quests for Gaston, Rapunzel, and Eve. For Gaston’s quest, you’ll cook him an omelet, requiring you to dive into the Cave of Wonders in search of all five ingredients. Here’s a list of all five golden ingredient locations for the Hero Post quest.
Gaston’s Golden Ingredient locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Finding all five golden ingredients for the Hero Pose quest requires venturing into the Cave of Wonders, which you unlocked during a previous story mission, Diamond in the Rough. To find this cave, head to The Wastes and enter the giant lion’s head cave. Since you completed this entire cave in the past, all of its puzzles will already be complete, allowing you to explore freely without any obstacles.
Immediately after entering the Cave of Wonders, you’ll find a pile of gold coins containing golden eggs. Use your shovel on the coin pile to get the first ingredient.
From the golden egg’s location, head directly left along the narrow path before making a right toward one of the puzzle pedestals from the Diamond in the Rough quest. You’ll find a gold pile containing a golden pepper near the pedestal.
Now, head back the way you came and move forward into the Cave of Wonders’ second area. Once you arrive here, turn right, go up the small staircase, and enter the room with the floor puzzle to find a third gold pile containing some gemstone cheese.
Next, you’ll head to the opposite side of the main area until you reach the cave’s beam puzzle. Head down the ramp and make an immediate left turn to find the next gold pile along a narrow path. Use your shovel on the pile to get some aged venison, knocking out four of the five ingredients you need for the quest.
The final ingredient for the Hero Pose quest, golden milk, is in the last room of the Cave of Wonders. Just before entering the final door, navigating the corridor, and descending the final ramp, make an immediate right turn just before the exit portal to find another coin pile with some golden milk.
Now, you can use the exit portal to leave the Cave of Wonders and cook Gaston’s golden omelet for the Hero’s Post quest.
How to make a Golden Omelet in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you acquire all five golden ingredients, head to any nearby cooking station or campfire to cook the golden omelet. You can either manually toss all five ingredients in or open the recipe list, select your quest recipes, and pick the golden omelet. Pick all five golden items and start cooking to make Gaston’s golden omelet.
After cooking the golden omelet, return to Gaston and give him the dish. He’ll express his joy over receiving such a special dish before asking you to craft a Shiny LeFou.
How to craft a Shiny LeFou in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The second part of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Hero Pose quest asks you to craft a Shiny LeFou using the following materials:
- Bronze Ingot (5)
- Jade (3)
- Bumblestone (1)
- Alexandrite (1)
- Spinel (1)
- Paints from Rapunzel’s Tower
Bronze ingots are the easiest of these items to find. You must mine copper and regular ore nodes until you get enough copper and tin ore. You’ll just need some coal and a crafting table to make the ingots from here.
The other four gemstones require venturing into various Eternal Isle regions and mining ore nodes. Below are their spawn locations:
- Jade – The Courtyard and the Overlook
- Bumblestone – The Borderlands
- Alexandrite – The Wastes and the Oasis
- Spinel – The Grove and the Promenade
By now, you should have all of these locations unlocked. It’s only a matter of finding enough ore nodes and getting lucky with finding each gem.
Once you have them, go to The Grove, enter Rapunzel’s tower, and pick up some paint from the corner of the room. You can now craft Shiny LeFou at a crafting bench before returning to Gaston. Giving Gaston Shiny LeFou will wrap up Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Hero Pose quest, bringing you one step closer to unlocking Oswald.
