Overwatch is seemingly coming to console

Overwatch is headings to consoles, it seems.

Despite only officially being announced for PC, GameStop began taking pre-orders for Blizzard’s first-person shooter on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One today, according to various sources.

Kotaku contacted a location in the New York City area and discovered the title is being listed as a $60 game, suggesting it either doesn’t employ a free-to-play business model, as expected, or includes extra content similar to Heroes of the Storm‘s physical PC bundle.

Meanwhile, IGN managed to get one shop to utter the phrase “Overwatch: Origins Edition.”

Blizzard is hosting its annual BlizzCon event this weekend in Anaheim, California, so there’s a good chance we’ll hear more about this at the publisher’s keynote address tomorrow.

Destructoid reached out to Blizzard for comment and received the following response:

“We are excited to share more information about Overwatch with everyone at BlizzCon this weekend – so be sure to tune in to the opening ceremonies for free at www.BlizzCon.com.”
