After a rough Season 1, the second season of Diablo 4 is almost here. Season 2, Season of Blood, will introduce a new storyline, five new endgame bosses, and vampiric powers. The new season also brings a ton of balance changes and quality-of-life updates. Most classes have gotten pretty hefty reworks as well, to make some of the less-played builds a bit more viable. Here is the exact Diablo 4 Season 2 release date and time so that you know when all the fun begins in the Season of Blood!
When does Diablo 4 Season 2 start?
Diablo 4 Season 2 begins on October 17 at 1 p.m. ET. The season start is global, so the servers will go live for everyone at the same time. Therefore, for those on the West Coast, the start time is 10 a.m. PT. Once the new season begins, players will be able to log in to Diablo 4 and create a character on the new server.
Season 1 will end at the same time, and all characters created on the Season 1 servers will automatically be transferred to the Eternal Realm.

When does Diablo 4 come to Steam?
Alongside the new season, this also marks the release of Diablo 4 on Steam. Diablo 4 releases on Steam on October 17 as well. Players will be able to purchase and download Diablo 4 directly on Steam and play with other players cross-platform that are on Battle.net. This will be the first season in which Diablo 4 is on Steam, but it will be moving forward as well. It does not appear there will be any sort of preload at this time. So, if you are planning to purchase on Steam, you may be just a little late joining the season due to downloading.
