Yes, I realize that this is a day late.
Yes, I realize that some of you have probably been crying like tiny kittens who have spilt their milk all over the linoleum kitchen floor.
A combination of Internet failures and tiny, angry pixies have conspired to keep this update from you, but after three days of battling miniature people and bathing in the blood of mythical creatures great and small, I bring you the games that the editors of your favorite robot-themed gaming site have been playing for the last week.
I hope you’re all happy with yourselves. There is now no more magic left in the world, and all the faerie-folk have been slain due to your insane hunger for all-too-personal knowledge about what we do with our free time.
Can’t you just sit patiently outside Mt. Destructoid like all the other stalkers?
Ishaan:
I have exams coming up in January, so I’m studying now in the desperate hope that I can cover my entire syllabus before then (seeing as how my Wii arrives in January, and I won’t get any work done after that).
Dick McVengeance:
I’ll be playing a ton of Zelda, since my finals are spread far apart (read: one on monday, the other on friday, and no need to study for either). When I get frustrated with that, I’ll probably be pulling out Castlevania: Lament of Innocence or Jump SuperStars to play.
Robert Summa:
Rainbow Six Vegas, Blitz the League, Gears of War, Burnout, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and that new Kirby game for the DS.
Fronz:
Finals for me this week, I play Twilight Princess when I can. I took my roommate to Target this morning to see if he could get a Wii for his brother and guess what I found. Any readers want a 20GB PS3? 🙂 I’m hoping to sell it so let me know!
Nick Brutal:
I’ve been sneaking in time with Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin when I can. Still with the Guitar Hero II. Still with the Lumines Live. I desperately want another game to come in and sweep me off of my feet, but it hasn’t happened yet. By the time anyone reads this, though, I’ll be playing Gunstar Heroes on the Virtual Console (although I still think $8 is a crock)!
Niero:
I bought a copy of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! from our very own Dexter345 and I’ve been rescuing horses and students in musical distress all week on the go. I also have Zelda: Twilight Princess burning a hole in my Wii but haven’t had time to touch it cause I’m trying to level up Destructoid in a few ways this week. I’m also rocking the crap out of Turbografx-16 like it’s 1989.
Nex:
I’ve been playing a ton of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin this week (even though it didn’t actually come out until the end of the week). This game is to the DS what lesbians are to pornography: everything fantastic about it, with none of the unfortunate parts.
CTZ:
I didn’t play any video games this week. Instead, I payed a few girls to rub their breasts in my face. IT. WAS. AWESOME!
Faith:
Playing non-stop Final Fantasy XII and having to adapt to the new combat system. Love the graphics, but not loving the male characters … does anyone in this game not look like a woman?
I want a hardcore looking guy like Snake to appear in one of these games … he’d mess these pretty boys up.
Ron Workman:
Pocket Bike Racer!!! Im actually having fun. Cheapy D made fun of me though. I havent played in weeks and he couldnt believe that a Burger King game was the choice I made. Now that I think about it… I really do suck.
Aaron Linde:
I’m currently putting off my 14-page Linguistics research paper on internet vernacular so I can play the ass-load of portable games I’ve recently purchased. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, and Final Fantasy III DS are eating the bulk of my time. On top of that, I’m playing a load of crappy games for Bargain Bin Laden, because I love our readers and I will suffer greatly for them.
Nagiko:
Ive been too busy to play anything. This will be remedied tomorrow when I get my DS lite and a shit-ton of new games.
So what about you, huh? What have you been playing? It’s not so fun having the unblinking eye of truth turned back upon you, now is it?
