Fifteen categories, including Game of the Year
Oh yes, it’s award season again and this year we’re going big. Not only are we doing our traditional Game of the Year category like in years past, but we’re adding 14 other categories! Told you we’re going big.
The Destructoid staff have been ferociously debating between the more than 200 games released this past year, and have been voting away at the finalists for weeks now. We’ll be revealing all the nominees for each of our categories between December 10 through December 13, and winners will be announced throughout the day on December 14.
We are of course going to have a Community Choice Award, and you’ll be able to cast your vote for Game of the Year a little later today. Until then, you can check out our categories and the date you’ll see the nomination reveals all below. Be sure to tell us what your game of the year is and why everyone else is wrong if they don’t agree with you too!

Best multiplatform nominees
Tuesday:
Best PC exclusive nominees
Best Console exclusive nominees
Best multiplayer nominees
Best music nominees
Wednesday:
Best portable nominees
Best platformer nominees
Best action adventure nominees
Best fighting nominees
Thursday:
Best shooter nominees
Best role-playing game nominees
Best strategy nominees
Friday:
Winners will be revealed for each category throughout the entire day!
