Depth developer Digital Confectioners has announced its sharks vs. divers multiplayer game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 next year.

The announcement is part of its anniversary celebrations, which seems a bit late seeing as the game came out at the start of last November, but let’s just conveniently ignore that. The game is set to launch on the PS4 “in the first half of 2016,” however a definitive date or price point hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The console version will include new gameplay content (which I assume means more maps, weapons, sharks, that sort of thing), visual upgrades, and out-of-game system improvements. These updates (barring things like PS4 trophies) will, of course, be making their way to the PC version of the game as well.

For those on PC, Digital Confectioners has unveiled the new Bull Sh*** update. It introduces the much-requested Bull Shark as a playable class, new game modes, and an automated turret companion for the divers.

It has also released Depth: Anniversary Edition (again, technically just over a month after their real anniversary). The pack doesn’t really benefit people who’ve already bought the game, but for those wanting to get their Jaws on, it contains all of the currently available DLC. It includes some new stuff too, such as extra skins for the Harpoon and ADS Rifle weapons as well as the newly-introduced Bull Shark. You’ll also get the soundtrack and a digital artbook too, just to top it all off.

From the time I’ve spent on it, I found Depth to be a great game with a cool idea, but sometimes the execution was slightly off. Hopefully, the updates coming with the PS4 version make it the fantastic game it really could be.
