Dead by Daylight May 2024 roadmap: 8th Anniversary, masquerade event, and even more Nicolas Cage

Everything we have to look forward to.

Behavior Interactive has outlined all the content Dead by Daylight is getting in May 2024. This month is pretty packed as we lead up to the game’s 8th anniversary, which will almost certainly keep the new content train rolling.

Dead by Daylight players are being treated to a ton of new content in May 2024. In addition to a slew of new cosmetic packs to purchase from the store, the Before the Masquerade event will offer a chance to pick up some time-limited rewards as we enter June and what will undoubtedly be a full anniversary event. The thing I’m most excited about is more Nicolas Cage. I don’t mind in what form this comes, but I need it in my collection.

Below, I’ve outlined when new content is hitting Dead by Daylight this month and what that content is. There’s a big mix of new premium cosmetics and free items for players to earn here. If you’re a lapsed player or someone who wasn’t planning to put many hours into the game this month, you should probably reconsider given what you can pick up.

Week 1

  • May 2: Aftermath Premium Cosmetics Collection hits the store.
  • May 9: Visions of the Future Premium Cosmetics Collection will be available.
  • May 16-23: Chaso Shuffle Modifier Event.

The big highlight for this first week is the Chaos Shuffle Event. This will have its own Tome that will reward you with Rift Fragments, Bloodpoints, and potentially even free cosmetics, so it’s well worth playing.

Week 2

  • May 14: Dead by Daylight 8th Anniversary Broadcast.
  • May 14-20: Before the Masquerade Week 1.
  • May 14: New PTB goes live.
  • May 14: A new Nicholas Cage cosmetic pack and the Endless Hunt Pack will go live.

This is the week to watch. The 8th anniversary broadcast should outline what Behaviour Interactive has planned for Dead by Daylight in 2024. It’ll also explain the Before the Masquerade event that’s running for the rest of the month. In the past, this has been a daily login event with rewards for you every day you launch the game, as well as boosted maps for limited times.

This is the week a new PTB goes live, allowing you to try out the upcoming changes and anything else planned for the game’s next update. Finally, the best thing in this list, a new Nicholas Cage cosmetic pack of some description will become available alongside the Endless Hunt Pack. I don’t know what’s happening with Nicholas Cage, but the Endless Hunt Pack looks like a premium collection of Survivors and Killers.

Week 3

  • May 21: Forgotten Garden Cosmetics Collection goes live.
  • May 21-28: Before the Masquerade Week 2.

Week 3 adds even more premium cosmetics to Dead by Daylight alongside the most stylish rewards from Before the Masquerade. I suspect this might be a week some fans skip, though, because most players don’t really care about The Trickster.

Week 4

  • May 28: Cats & Dogs Cosmetics Collection becomes available.
  • May 28-June 4: Before the Masquerade Week 3.

As we enter June, we get the final week of the Before the Masquerade event and yet another premium cosmetic collection. This will leave players with a lot of new looks to choose from. Traditionally., the Before the Masquerade event leads into the Twisted Masquerade in June, but we’ll need to wait for confirmation to see if that’s still the case this year.
