Darksiders 3 came out in 2018, which is forever ago in the current global situation. But for all of you Switch fans that waited to try it out in portable form, you’re going to beat the Steam Deck PC version: THQ Nordic has confirmed thatĀ Darksiders 3 Switch will arrive on September 30. That includes both DLC packs ā€” Keepers of the Void and The Crucible ā€” and the entire package is going for $39.99.

Note that on Xbox One the game is $10 new physically, and on PS5, it’s around $15 or so for a physical copy. The Keepers of the Void DLC is $13, and the Crucible DLC is $6.99. You can also opt for a bundle that’s occasionally on sale for $5.99. Breaking this down, it’s cheaper in many cases to buy a physical copy and get the DLC digitally on another platform.

To sum things up on the Switch franchise availability front, DarksidersĀ 1 andĀ 2 are already on Switch, arriving in 2019 as a pair. It was followed by the spinoff, Darksiders Genesis, on Switch in early 2020.Ā Darksiders 3 Switch will complete the current trilogy. At the moment,Ā Darksiders 3 is on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with no “upgraded” current-generation editions.

Darksiders is an interesting series as I’m always down to play another, and I never really assumed that it would actually finish. The wait betweenĀ Darksiders 2 andĀ 3 wasĀ long, and a lot of people gave up hope (myself included). Now we’re potentially poised for another hiatus betweenĀ 3 andĀ 4. One day I’ll just wake up, hear the news of another mainlineĀ Darksiders, and everything will be right again with the gaming world.
