That’s right, a demo of Crackdown will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace on the 18th of January. This stylish GTA clone will then hit stores February 20th.
On Jan. 18, gamers will get the chance to battle their way through the roads and rooftops of Crackdown™ as the Xbox 360™ title’s explosive demo lands on Xbox Live® Marketplace. And for the ultimate payback, they will combine forces in online co-op play for twice the thrills and double the retribution.
Gamers will arm themselves with high-tech weapons, transformable vehicles and incredible, gravity-defying superskills in preparation to take back Pacific City when Crackdown storms North American store shelves Feb. 20.
Crackdown
is being developed by the mastermind behind the Grand Theft Auto series himself, David Jones. Hopefully this means that it won’t be yet another bad knock off.
Having both single player and co-op available in this demo should give us a good taste of what Crackdown is really about. If this sounds like your kind of game, read the full press release.
