Slice, dice, food so nice

Up until this morning, I had no idea that a sequel to Cook, Serve, Delicious was in the works. I’m always down for more burger-flipping, salad-slinging restaurant management. It looks like Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 has all that and more. I think they call that “the works” over in the food service industry.

Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 is set to release on August 24. While the core gameplay — managing customer orders and serving up delectable meals — looks similar to the first game, the sequel’s bigger in every way imaginable.

According to developer Vertigo Gaming, Inc., Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 has a sixty-plus hour main campaign in which players rise the restaurateur ranks. There’s also a new “Chef for Hire” mode that where aspiring cooks take on jobs within SherriSoda Tower across 450 levels. And because cooking shouldn’t be a solitary activity, there’s also co-op this time around. That’s a full course video game meal.

In addition to the PC launch in August, Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 will release on PlayStation 4 sometime “soon.” I’ll be sharpening my knives until then.
